dressed in black

Ran into this great website, an online international magazine in portuguese IdeaFixa. I was going through the latest issue and ran into Lucy McRae's work. Actually, it's a collab between Lucy McRae and Bart Hess, they go by Lucy and Bart.
They have a blog where they post work. Their individual blogs are more interesting. Lucy - Bart

it's just so inspiring, to think that the human body can be modified in so many ways. sort of disturbing too, but thats good.

inspire me please

the shape is kind of comical, it's what really stood out, and then i read about it and fell in love. This thing, the "Drop of Water" is attached to a rain gutter so that when it pours the rain water will automatically fall into this device to be stored for watering plants. It has a tap at the bottom so you can refill :) All of this so you dont use tap water on your plants and make the world a better place.

other stuff i liked by the same guy :

the minor fall and the major lift

I think there are people who loved her
better than i could or did
because time also is a degree,
an estimation of love.

while watching another interview with Cohen (obnoxious interviewer) i found his response to one of my questions in a previous post.

"No,

that's a popular notion,
you know,

that is it exclusively suffering that produces good work
or insightful work.

I don't think that's the case.

I think
in a certain sense
it's a trigger or a lever
but i think that good work is produced inspite of suffering
and as a response...

as a...

as a...

...as a victory over suffering."

Found Books

Found this great website with a bunch of free downloads: AvaxHome
I downloaded a few books:

The paper engineering one was accidental, i was attracted by the cover, i have never thought about doing pop up. But i plan to explore areas im not interested in because for sure i will be fascinated with something about it. I've been encouraged to do that by Keri Smith's words: read a book you don't think you will like. I don't know if the pop up book can be applied, because im actually interested. But there are plenty i dont find interesting so i plan on exploring the uninteresting more often.

The first book was photographed by hand so the quality is horrible. It's readable but its so obvious that it wasnt scanned that its distracting. It's kind of ironic, a book about design having such a poor presentation. The cost you pay for downloading free books.

so annoying

Some things are understood. People have no right to share you business. They have to keep their mouth shut even if you didn't ask them to.

like this song

arthur is an inspiration

good things can come from watching cartoons (old ones at least)

Everyday when you're walking down the street
And everybody that you meet
Has an original point of view

And I say HEY! (HEY!)
What a wonderful kind of day.
If you can learn to work and play
And get along with each other

You got to listen to your heart
Listen to the beat
Listen to the rhythm
The rhythm of the street
Open up your eyes
Open up your ears
Get together and make things better
By working together!

It's a simple message and it comes from the heart
Believe in this (And in yourself)
For that's the place to start (to start)

And I say HEY! (HEY!)
What a wonderful kind of day
If we can learn to work and play
And get along with each other.
Hey what a wonderful kind of day hey!
