ECO, Umberto Obra Aberta, Ed. Perspectiva, 1997 p.44
CURY, Augusto O Mestre da Sensibilidade, Academia de Inteligência, 2000
p.23
XX.

talk about texture!
i havent seen anything this enchanting in a while. sometimes the fact that im surrounded by realistic art the whole time distracts me from wanting to come up with completely abstract things. we get so used to whats around us that we have to try so hard to keep true to our own desires and make our own unique discoveries. she´s rough with texture and gentle with color, simply wonderful.

im being a good girl and researching the artists my teacher told me about that can help me with my work. one of them is Antoni Tapies. i found some fragments of his work online, chose some i relate to most. i like the chaotic look of strokes and meaningless elements lying around. its interesting when they communicate with each other, funny thing is that as chaotic as they are, all of these feel very harmonized to me. it doesnts bother me. i dont like looking at something that bothers me, although that seems to be what some people want to accomplish with their art. still valid, but not what im going for. right now im just researching how color and forms can relate to each other without having to simbolize something or look like something. i just want them to have a long and interesting talk and be friends.

hello there
Don’t let anyone deter you from any personal or professional goals, no matter how lofty or grandiose they are.
i have tons of new years resolutions.

butterpillar - catterfly

animal my SOUL

i tell myself to ignore anything that may keep me out of focus,
but am i really ever focused?
i am beggining to doubt that.
maybe what i meant to myself was
my focus in a bright future.
i tend to let anything get in the way,
it makes me think its because i dont really want anything so bad
that makes me work so hard for it.
that makes me insecure and scared.
im turning 20 in a month and i dont know what im doing.
i know a lot of people live their life without knowing,
but somehow that freaks me out.
waking up everyday to horrible news about death, rapes, car accidents and every other freak accident is beggining to scare the shit out of me.
when its sunny outside everything seems better, but all this rain gives the city a really bad smell and a creppy vibe.
i rush though everything when im not home.
i come in late and leave class early everyday because i dont want to be outside.
not that im paranoid, but its giving me such a negative feeling, an urge to leave, i know i cant now, so that only makes me feel worse.
theres no use in discussing something like this.
its one of those things everyone dismisses as stupid or unecessary.
the best you can do is shut up and live with it.
i guess i understand now why brazilians are so happy looking all the time.
they do it to cover up the fact that theyve lost hope in change.
theyve learned to live with all this stress and the best they can do is ignore it all and live their lives the best they can.
maybe this was realized by an earlier generation, and it all got lost through time and now no one really knows whats behind all the partying and living life at ease.
i rather not get involved,
i wanna be the oil in this body of water.
im mixed right now but eventually
ill come out on top.

right now its marc chagall and illustrations

i feel im refining my taste, i have always felt a bit lost when it comes to liking things and never really knew how to find those special details in a piece. right now im in love with the feeling a chagall gives me, how his figues seem weightless and boneless, thats how i want to feel and what i want to transmit through my work. Plus, im really into illustrations right now. I was on amazon and ran into some childrens books, i like them mostly because of the drawings, even though some have amusing stories. Anne Herbauts drawings are so interesting, they are all very huggable. While Beatrice Alemagna creates such beautiful images, they just blow me away completely, i doubt i grew up surrounded by beutiful drawings, i dont remember my books being so gracious as these. I also have been loving Julia Pott's illus for a while now.

Some things are understood. People have no right to share you business. They have to keep their mouth shut even if you didn't ask them to.

Everyday when you're walking down the street
And everybody that you meet
Has an original point of view
And I say HEY! (HEY!)
What a wonderful kind of day.
If you can learn to work and play
And get along with each other
You got to listen to your heart
Listen to the beat
Listen to the rhythm
The rhythm of the street
Open up your eyes
Open up your ears
Get together and make things better
By working together!
It's a simple message and it comes from the heart
Believe in this (And in yourself)
For that's the place to start (to start)
And I say HEY! (HEY!)
What a wonderful kind of day
If we can learn to work and play
And get along with each other.

life and living
Everyday i try some new approach to life, like changing my attitude, analysing my actions or screening my thoughts. Actually, i try all that probably at the same time all the time. I just know things have to change for me. I'm a big complainer and im a bit lazy. I know its a JUST DO IT situation, but its the kind that i tell myself 'stop and do' and i stop and sit instead. So i found this interesting website (tinybuddha), which says a lot of things that i already knew, but never read altogether. It gives you 30 ways to live your life OUT LOUD. Meaning: taking risks, fulfilling dreams, being happy etc. in other words living life the way it is meant to be lived- with no bounderies.
