Current Obsession: Samba da Benção

I found a translation online but it looked like a google translation, they arent very good especially when it comes to poetry. So i tried to translate it myself.

Samba Of the Blessing

It is better to be happy than to be sad
Happiness is the best thing that exists
It is as a light in the heart
But to make a samba with beauty
A handful of sadness is needed
Or else a samba can't be made

To make samba is not like telling a joke
And those who make this samba are worthless
The good samba is a kind of prayer
Because samba is a sadness that moves
And sadness is always hopeful
That one day it will seize to be sad

Put a little love in a rythm
And you'll see that nothing exceeds
The beauty in a samba
Because samba was born in Bahia
And if today it is white in it's poetry
It is very black in it's heart
